5 years agoThe Washington Redskins Defense held the San Francisco 49ers to three field goals on Sunday, but a lack of offense resulted in a 9-0 loss. Washington's defensive effort in a game marred by miserable weather kept the Niners from establishing their run as effectively as they've been able to in previous games. This unit also sacked Jimmy Garoppolo twice and picked him off once. The hard rain was just as much of a culprit as anything else, but Washington's defensive players performed admirably in a game they were supposed to decidedly lose.--Chris O'Reilly
