Redskins Defense Picked Apart By Patriots In Second Half
5 years agoThe Washington Redskins Defense began Sunday's loss looking like they might pull off the impossible and keep a game against the heavily favored Patriots close. They picked off Tom Brady in the red zone late in the second quarter, and surprisingly trailed by a score of just 12-7 at halftime. But the Patriots are a team renowned for making second-half adjustments, and the Redskins had no counter. New England scored three unanswered touchdowns in the second half en route to a 33-7 win. The Redskins allowed Brady to rack up 348 yards through the air, and they also have the regrettable distinction of being the first team to give up a big game to Sony Michel on the ground. This unit is not a viable fantasy option, even with the Dolphins coming up in Week 6.
