Redskins Defense Takes Another Step Back
6 years agoThe Washington Redskins defense/special teams assisted many a fantasy owner in the first half of the season, but the unit is now coming off back-to-back games in which it did anything but help. The Redskins have now allowed 31 and 28 points, respectively, in their last two contests, and have only forced one turnover. Turnovers are where the Redskins have been especially effective, so if they aren't preying on the mistakes of opposing offenses, their fantasy value takes a hit. Moreover, with a quarterback (Mark Sanchez) who was not even on an NFL roster three weeks ago now taking over under center, this defense figures to be on the field considerably more often than they're used to.
