Reid Detmers Continues To Miss Bats At Double-A

3 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitching prospect Reid Detmers stuck out 10 batters in five innings of work on Saturday. The 21-year-old allowed five hits and did not issue a free pass. Detmers now has a K-BB ratio of 40-9 in 25 innings of work. The southpaw is always around the strike zone and has allowed 23 hits but only four home runs. The 10th overall pick from the 2020 amateur draft could soon be ready for the Triple-A challenge. Detmers will eventually give the Angels some much-needed, home-grown pitching talent although his ceiling is more of a dependable mid-rotation arm than a true ace. He should become relevant in fantasy redraft leagues starting in 2022.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
