Anthony Swarzak Increasing Throwing Program
7 years agoAfter suffering an oblique injury just 2 1/3 innings into his tenure with the Mets, relief pitcher Anthony Swarzak has spent most of the season on the DL. However, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo, the relief pitcher has begun ramping up his throwing program in an effort to get back on the mound. DiComo does note that Swarzak remains multiple weeks away from a return. Last season, Swarzak appeared in 70 games between the White Sox and Brewers, pitching to a 6-4 record with a 2.33 ERA and a 91/22 K/BB ratio. When Swarzak does return, it will be hard using him in fantasy leagues that do not award holds. However, he should be a big boost to an already impressive Mets' bullpen.
