4 years agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman/designated hitter Renato Nunez left Wednesday’s game against the Mets early after being seen limping after running down the first base line. Dilson Herrera took over at first in Nunez’s stead, with his 0-for-3 outing dropping his average over his last seven appearances to .208. Nunez homered twice Tuesday, with the power in his bat beginning to heat up after a slow start to 2020. Either Herrera or Pat Valaika would likely see an increase in duties at first should Nunez’s ailment keep him sidelined beyond Wednesday.--Jesse Borek
