Resolution To Roberto Osuna’s Case Won’t Be For Awhile
6 years agoThe first court date for Toronto Blue Jays reliever Roberto Osuna is on Monday, but fantasy owners shouldn’t expect an outcome anytime soon. Monday’s initial hearing for Osuna’s sexual assault charge is “largely procedural”, and Osuna himself won’t even be in attendance for it. The only real purpose for this hearing is that it will set the stage for the next court hearing, likely in a few weeks. This is what our fear here was – the case isn’t likely to be resolved right away, meaning we’re still weeks away from a resolution and even more time away from learning what Osuna’s potential suspension could be. Osuna has been on administrative leave since May 8, and that isn’t changing anytime soon. Ryan Tepera will continue to handle the ninth inning for Toronto.
