7 years agoNew England Patriots running backs Rex Burkhead (knee) and rookie Sony Michel (knee) are both question marks for Week 1. However, Burkhead took the field for practice on Tuesday for the third straight week, which is a sign he will be ready after overcoming a slight tear in his knee. Running back Ivan Fears thinks Burkhead can make a big impact when he returns. Michel is a week behind Burkhead and has taken part in two padded practices in all of August. Michel has practiced the last two days and the Patriots continue to be careful with their prized rookie. Burkhead looks like he'll be fine for the opener against the Texans, but Michel could be an inactive as a precaution. This all adds up to James White being a fantasy sleeper in the opener, although Burkhead could still be seen as an RB3/flex option.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
