3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Reynaldo Lopez went five innings in Thursday's loss versus the Oakland Athletics. Lopez tossed five frames this afternoon and allowed six hits, three runs (one earned), three walks and struck out two. The right-hander has pitched well with the White Sox dealing with injuries to starters Lucas Giolito (hamstring) and Lance Lynn (knee). With Lynn expected back on Sunday and Giolito on Tuesday, the future for Lopez in the rotation remains unclear and it's possible he is sent back to the bullpen. For the season, Lopez is 3-2 with a 2.05 ERA in 16 games (six starts). Lopez can remain on the waiver wire for now.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
