7 years agoChicago White Sox starter Reynaldo Lopez fired 6 1/3 innings of two-run (one earned) ball in Sunday's victory against the Boston Red Sox. Lopez scattered six hits, walked three and struck out six en route to his second win of the season. Lopez has posted a solid 3.26 ERA and 1.22 WHIP but holds a poor 6.3 K/9. Lopez has swing-and-miss stuff but a wild side (3.9 BB/9) has likely limited his strikeout potential. A .229 BABIP and 4.51 FIP suggest poorer times are ahead for the young fireballer but Lopez has proven himself a capable matchup-based streamer. His next start is scheduled for Friday at home against the Detroit Tigers. Lopez is boasting a 1.85 ERA at Guaranteed Rate Field.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
