Rhamondre Stevenson Could Become Top Early Down Option

2 years agoIt would not shock NESN's Zack Cox if New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson leapfrogs Damien Harris as the team's top early down back at some point in 2022. To open the season, Stevenson is expected to be the 1B to Harris' 1A, but he should see a march larger role in the passing game than he did as a rookie in 2021. Cox guesses that the pass-catching back position becomes more of a shared role that it was during James White's tenure, with Ty Montgomery, Stevenson and potentially even Harris contributing. Montgomery is dealing with an injury and might not be ready for Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins. Ideally, fantasy managers could pair Harris and Stevenson on the same squad.
