4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins went 0-for-2 with two walks, a run scored, and an RBI in a loss to the Red Sox Wednesday. It was a typical Hoskins game as the slugger didn't get a hit, but was still useful thanks to his on-base skills. Hoskins is batting just .207 on the season, but has an elite .425 on-base percentage and has scored 14 runs in 18 games. Hoskins' hard-hit rate is over five percent higher than MLB average and his xWOBA on contact of .420 is well above average as well.
