6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored Friday at Milwaukee. It was Hoskins' first multi-hit game since May 8, a span in which he's hit a paltry .164. The main issue for Hoskins has been the strikeouts. He's whiffing at a career-high 25.5 percent rate this season. If he can cut back on the strikeouts the rest of his numbers look pretty good. He's making hard contact at an elite rate of 47.6 and hitting almost 50 percent fly balls. This has lead to a very good .519 slugging percentage. Despite the recent slump Hoskins appears to be fine. This wouldn't be a bad time to make a buy-low trade offer if the Hoskins owner is frustrated with the recent lack of production.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
