4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins will land on the 10-day injured list due to a UCL injury in his left elbow. Hoskins’ power had come on as of late, having delivered an .887 OPS and 135 OPS+ through his first 41 games. Philadelphia hasn’t ruled out Hoskins returning at some point in 2020, but it seems unlikely that he would be a major contributor over the final two weeks of the regular season. With no Hoskins in the lineup, Alec Bohm and Ronald Torreyes appear to be the likeliest candidates to see extended time at first, with Bohm likely merely shifting over from the hot corner. So long as there are no residual effects from the injury, Hoskins should have a green light entering 2021.--Jesse Borek
