3 years agoFree-agent cornerback Richard Sherman will visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. A five-time Pro Bowler, Sherman is looking for a new squad after an injury-riddled 2020 campaign, and the meeting with the Buccaneers marks his first free-agent visit this year. The star corner was a big part of San Francisco's stout 2019 defense, as he achieved the best overall coverage grade from Pro Football Focus while tallying 61 tackles, 11 passes defended, and three interceptions. Sherman is in the twilight of his career but would be a nice pickup for a Buccaneers secondary- Sean Murphy-Bunting (elbow), Jamel Dean (knee), and Carlton Davis III- that has been bitten by the injury bug in the early going.--Tim Capurso
