Richard Sherman Won’t Suit Up Versus Former Team In Week 17
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Seahawks, ending his year with five games played. Injuries never allowed Sherman to get out of the gates in 2020, as he finished the year with 18 combined tackles, one interception, and one pass defended. His absence in the secondary should once again lead to K'Waun Williams having an increased role, but it could also up the fantasy intrigue of Seattle pass-catchers Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf. Set to become a free agent at season's end, Sherman's tenure with San Francisco may have ended this past week. The 49ers Defense can be safely avoiding in season-long and DFS lineups during Week 17 without Sherman in the mix.
