4 years agoNew Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Garrett Richards got lit up in his first outing of the spring on Monday, walking two and allowing three hits in his first inning before the new pitch-count rule ended the first frame with only one out. He settled down in his second inning, but overall, it was a concerning performance for Richards, who needs to prove to fantasy managers that he has enough left in the tank to overcome his extreme injury risk. The right-hander has time this spring to make adjustments, but for now, fantasy managers in standard mixed leagues can stay away.--Daniel Fox
