5 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Rick Porcello lasted five innings, while allowing two runs on five hits, one walk, and six strikeouts in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Phillies. After two absolute duds to begin the month of September, Porcello found his groove again on the road. In five of his last eight starts, the 30-year-old has allowed three or fewer runs; however, he hasn't made it past the sixth inning since June 17. He's 13-12 with a 5.77 ERA this year with a 129/4 K/BB in 162 1/3 innings. He'll be back on the road in his next start, which is scheduled to fall on Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays, which will leave Porcello out of the starting discussion.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
