Rick Porcello Can't Pitch Out Of Red Sox's Slump
6 years agoThe Boston Red Sox starters weren't projected to be their weak spot in 2019. Starting pitcher Rick Porcello allowed seven earned runs on 10 hits Friday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He managed to strike out five before turning the ball over to Brian Johnson after 4 2/3 innings. It's tough to trust anyone in the Sox rotation right now, as they've continued to post poor outings on a nightly basis. They'll hope that it's only a matter of time before they can put some scoreless innings together. For now, play their studs but use caution with the shaky offense. Porcello will hope to get back on track against a weak Blue Jays lineup next week.
