6 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Rick Porcello allowed four runs on eight hits through five innings on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox. He also had seven strikeouts and three walks. Luckily, his offense bailed him out and gave him a no-decision as the Red Sox came back to win 9-4. Porcello has simply not been trustworthy lately, as he now has an inflated 5.90 ERA through his last nine starts. He still has a fantastic 15-7 record for the season, but that is more indicative of the team he plays for than how well he has pitched. While it is fairly premature to consider dropping Porcello, he definitely is not inspiring much confidence lately. He should probably be sat his next time out against the formidable Atlanta Braves.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
