3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfield prospect Riley Greene (foot) was given a preliminary timetable of six to eight weeks after he fractured his foot while fouling a ball off himself in the Grapefruit League game on Friday, according to a source. The good news is that the fracture is on the bottom part of his foot, which could mean a slightly shorter recovery period. Greene will likely have to rehab in the minors for a bit before the Tigers consider allowing him to make his MLB debut. The 21-year-old was pushing to open the year on the Opening Day roster alongside fellow prospect Spencer Torkelson before his injury.
