7 years agoNew England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski denied rumors that the team was close to trading him on Friday. He said the rumors were "fake news." Gronk showed up for mandatory minicamp this week but is undecided on whether he will attend voluntary organized team activities next week. The big tight end considered retirement in the offseason but has decided to come back for at least another year. He isn't happy with his current contract, though, and both sides could get something hammered out before training camp. Gronkowski is a high-risk, high-reward elite TE1 as long as quarterback Tom Brady is still throwing him passes.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
