7 years agoNew England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is expected to continue to consider retirement. “Weeks before [the AFC Championship game,] Gronkowski was telling people around him the toll on his body was making him lean toward the potential that this was his last season,” ESPN’s Jeff Darlington reported on SportsCenter last week. “This is a very serious thing for Gronkowski at this point. He will certainly continue to contemplate retirement.” Gronk also suffered a concussion in 2017, adding to the physical toll that has been put on his body in recent seasons. When healthy, Gronkowski is still one of the best tight ends in the game, but injuries have hampered him throughout his career, and he may be tired of fighting through injuries. If he doesn't come back in 2018, it'll be a big downgrade to quarterback Tom Brady's weaponry on offense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
