Robbie Gould Week 1 Outlook for Fantasy Football

2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould is an average-to-above average option for fantasy football kicker Week 1. The 49ers go to Chicago to face the Bears, a team with a below average defense, in a game the 49ers are expected to win by seven. There are question marks about new 49ers starting QB Trey Lance and whether he can move the ball at the NFL level, but given that the 49ers have a strong rushing game and elite skill players (albeit with TE George Kittle likely missing the game), they should still be able to move the ball soon. In fact, Gould could benefit if Lance is unable to convert a first down in the red zone. Last season, Chicago allowed 7.2 kicking points per game, No. 18 in the league.--Mitchell Blatt - RotoBaller
