Robbie Ray Doesn't Make It Out Of First Inning
7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Robbie Ray was roughed up by the Dodgers on Saturday. Ray allowed five runs on four hits in just two-thirds of an inning. Once he was pulled, Ray took the opportunity to get some work done in the bullpen. "Just getting a little quick with my delivery," Ray said. "It's early, just trying to get things clicking on the same track. Just getting too quick with my finish and kind of falling off, and I was leaving everything arm-side." Ray felt comfortable after the bullpen work and is refocused. Thankfully it's just preseason games, but Ray is maximizing the purpose of spring training, which is to figure everything out before the actual season begins.
