Robbie Ray Holds Braves To Two Runs In Win
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Robbie Ray hurled a quality start against the Braves in the team's 13-5 win on Friday night. The lefty tossed 6 2/3 innings while allowing two runs on five hits and striking out five. The damage came on a two-run homer off the bat of Ozzie Albies in the seventh, but the big takeaway from this game is that he never issued a free pass for the second-straight game. Walks have always plagued the 29-year-old, but with his command improving this season, we've seen a more effective pitcher with his 2.78 ERA and 1.19 WHIP through four starts. Ray will look to keep his stellar start going in his next matchup on the road versus Oakland.
