Robbie Ray Strikes Out 10 In Sunday’s Win
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Robbie Ray earned his fourth win of the season on Sunday as his club handily beat the Red Sox 18-4. The left-hander went six frames allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out 10 batters in the quality start. Ray has now gone three-straight games throwing six or more innings, and has 32 punchouts in that span to just five walks. Ray has improved the most in the walk category this season with a 6.3% BB% after posting a 13.0% mark from 2017-2020. His 32.3% K-rate is also a shade shy of his 2017 career-high, which has led him to a 3.45 ERA and 1.11 WHIP on the year. Ray will look to keep his dominance going with a matchup versus the Orioles next weekend.
