Robbie Ray Strikes Out 11 In Short Outing
7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Robbie Ray went 4 2/3 innings pitched on Tuesday, giving up five hits, three runs and three walks while striking out 11 in the 8-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. The main reason for owning Ray in fantasy is his massive strikeout potential, as he is now up to 43 strikeouts in only 26 1/3 innings pitched. Despite the Diamondbacks winning, Ray was not eligible for the win and was rewarded with a no-decision, and his record remains at 2-0 on the season. His 5.13 ERA is not of major concern to start the year, as a large part of that had to do with his six-run start on March 30. He should be owned in all formats and will continue to be a lethal option for strikeouts.
