4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Robbie Ray struck out nine over 5 2/3 innings during the team's 10-8 win over the Phillies on Sunday, earning himself his second win of the year. The left-hander allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk in the outing with all of the damage coming off of three homers. Ray's propensity to give up the long ball is becoming problematic as he now holds a 2.45 HR/9 on the year while giving up at least one dinger in six of his seven games. If he could somehow keep batters in the yard he'd have a much better ERA than his current 3.79 mark suggests. Still, owners should be pleased overall in Ray's performance in 2021 as he looks ahead to his next start versus the Rays.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
