5 years agoThe Diamondbacks will go with Robbie Ray for the series opener with St. Louis on Friday night according to AP writer Jack Magruder. Ray has seen his ERA slowly climb upwards over the last month, as he has posted a 5.08 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over his last five starts. In his last start against Colorado though, he allowed just one run over six innings while striking out eight. The Cardinals struggled in their last 10 games before the break — hitting .247 while averaging 3.5 runs per game in that span — which could make for a solid matchup for Ray tonight.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
