5 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Robbie Ray allowed two earned runs, five hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings in a victory against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday. He threw 66 of his 107 pitches for strikes, and he managed just 13 first-pitch strikes to the 26 batters he faced in the quality start while uncorking one wild pitch. It wasn't a flawless performance, but the offense picked him up when needed and he limited his damage. Next up will be a difficult pitching matchup against Max Scherzer and the Nationals in D.C.--Daniel Dobish
