4 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Robbie Ray has been slow out of the gate in 2020, sporting an 8.64 ERA with nine walks in 8 1/3 IP. The good news is he’s struck out 11, but he’s also surrendered three long balls and hasn’t made it through five innings in a start yet. The Astros are notoriously patient after leading the league in 2019 in walk-rate (10.1% BB%); they now sit with the third-best mark this season (12.3% BB%). If Ray continues to pitch outside the strike zone, the Astros batters will surely take their walks and capitalize when he does leave a pitch over the plate. It may be a good idea to sit Ray in season-long leagues while avoiding him completely in DFS.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
