Robby Anderson A Decent Play Despite Matchup
5 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson has been playing well after a disappointing start to the season and is a startable receiver this week despite a tough matchup with Minkah Fitzpatrick and the Steelers. Anderson has been playing with dollar signs in his eyes as the impending free agent has at least 66 yards or a touchdown in five straight games including back-to-back 100-yard efforts before last week's tough game at Baltimore. Anderson did miss practice with an illness on Thursday but is back on the practice field Friday. Fellow receiver Demaryius Thomas (knee, ankle) isn't so lucky and, as of Friday, looks unlikely to play meaning Anderson and Jamison Crowder should be in line for a ton of targets this week. Start Anderson as an upside WR3 despite a tough matchup.
