4 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Robert Gsellman (triceps) was activated off the injured list on Friday. Gsellman missed, roughly, the first two weeks of the 2020 season. In 2019, Gsellman produced a 4.66 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and struck out 60 in 63 2/3 innings pitched. Gsellman allowed only a 3.7% overall barrel rate and overall exit velocity of 85.3 mph, both figures which were in the top four percent in all of major league baseball. Gsellman can provide some much-needed help to the Mets struggling bullpen with his return. Based on his 2019 metrics, Gsellman could see positive regression in both ERA and WHIP as a middle reliever. As a result, he is potentially useful in deeper leagues that reward holds.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
