2 years agoSan Diego Padres outfield prospect Robert Hassell III continued his impressive season on Thursday for High-A Fort Wayne. The outfielder went 3-for-4 with three walks, two doubles, four RBI and a two-run home run in his most recent contest. The left-handed hitter has been putting together a very strong campaign and is hitting .310 with nine homers, 47 RBI and 19 stolen bases. The 20-year-old was the eighth overall selection in the 2020 draft and has played the part thus far in his professional career. Hassell should continue to make strides in 2022, but it will be down on the farm. If he continues to impress as he has, maybe he can make his big-league debut in 2023.
