6 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan caught his first NFL pass on Thursday night in a Week 11 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Tonyan caught a touchdown 54 yards downfield in the first half of the game. It was his only catch of the day. Tonyan is a raw player with some promising athleticism. He was a fringe player to make the team coming out of training camp. He is unlikely to see additional work going forward even with starting tight end Jimmy Graham (thumb) suffering a potentially serious injury. Tonyan is currently behind veteran tight end Lance Kendricks on the depth chart. As the running back situation has shown, Green Bay tends to be pretty stubborn about the depth chart. Tonyan is likely to even get out-snapped by blocking specialist Marcedes Lewis. Tonyan does not warrant a waiver claim this week and should not be owned in any leagues.--Tyger McGuiggan
