7 years agoEveryone knew Toronto Blue Jays closer Roberto Osuna was among the best in baseball heading into the season, but in six appearances he’s been nearly untouchable thus far. He picked up his fifth save of the young campaign on Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles without allowing a hit. For the season, Osuna has pitched 6 1/3 innings without allowing any runs. He’s allowed two hits and no walks for a minuscule WHIP of 0.32, while striking out three in the process. He currently leads the American League in saves, and is second overall in baseball to Jeurys Familia of the New York Mets, who has six. Osuna has a real chance to elevate himself to the best closer in baseball this year.--John Smith
