Roberto Perez Being Evaluated For Shoulder Soreness
4 years agoCleveland Indians catcher Roberto Perez (shoulder) is being evaluated for shoulder soreness. The severity of Perez’s injury isn’t clear yet, but if he’s forced to miss any time then Sandy Leon should be the team’s primary catcher. A generally durable catcher, Perez has missed only four games due to injury since the beginning of 2018, but the 31-year-old has not typically been an everyday player and has already missed one game due to his sore shoulder. Fantasy players who roster Perez should look into backup options now in case the catcher is sidelined for an extended period.
