Roberto Perez Leaves Friday's Game With Quad Injury
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates catcher Roberto Perez left Friday's game against the Washington Nationals with a left quad contusion. Perez took a foul ball off of the leg during the second inning. He was able to finish out the inning but was replaced by pinch-hitter Andrew Knapp in the third. The veteran backstop is unlikely to miss much time at all with the contusion. Perez is hitting .294 with three runs and one RBI across 17 at-bats for the Pirates in 2022.
