Robinson Cano Has Been Absent From Mets Camp
4 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano has missed Mets summer camp the past two days, according to a report on Friday. No reason for his absence has been provided by the Mets. During spring training back in March, Cano had been spending time strengthening his legs in an effort to avoid quadriceps and hamstring issues that limited him to just 107 games in 2019. If Cano is healthy, the Mets will likely give him every opportunity to re-emerge as a productive bat in the middle of their potent lineup. Between his second base eligibility and the potential to serve as the Mets designated hitter at times, Cano is certainly worth rostering in deep mixed leagues and in all NL-only formats.
