7 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano is going through a bit of a funk to begin the month of May, slashing only .214/.313/.250 over his last 28 at-bats. He has only one extra-base hit over his last seven games and his batting average has dipped from .313 to .290 during that span. Cano has always been revered as a professional hitter with All-Star pedigree but continues to see a regression in the power department. Lower body injuries last season contributed to Cano slugging only .420 in the second half of the season and his .427 slugging for the season was his lowest since 2008. Cano can still be counted on to drive in runs and hit for average but simply isn't the threat at the plate he used to be.--Joey C - RotoBaller
