7 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano smacked a two-run home run in the second inning of the Mariners 10-4 win Sunday against the Indians. Cano added a double later in the game and raised his batting average to an impressive .313. Cano has provided a professional, veteran presence to an improved Mariners lineup.. He has driven in 14 runs and has 17 walks to only 18 strikeouts. He should not be expected to maintain his robust on-base percentage of .423 but Cano is working counts and has come out sharp out of the gate. An increase in power could be right around the corner for the veteran and will continue to see a healthy dose of RBI-chances with table setters Dee Gordon and Jean Segura off to their respective hot starts.--Joey C - RotoBaller
