5 years agoNew York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano went 4-for-4 with three home runs in a win over the Padres Tuesday night. Cano hit his first two homers off rookie Chris Paddack and also took lefty Logan Allen in the seventh. Cano drove in all five of the Mets' runs while becoming the oldest second baseman to hit three homers in a game. It's been a disappointing season overall for Cano. His .254 average is the worst of his career as is his .288 on-base percentage and .377 slugging percentage. He's a fine middle-infield option in deeper leagues but does not need to be owned in standard size mixed leagues. He's got a great matchup lined up Wednesday against righty Dinelson Lament, however.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
