Roman Quinn Activated From Injured List, In Lineup Tuesday
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn was activated from the injured list ahead of Tuesday’s contest against the Red Sox and he has been immediately inserted into the lineup, batting ninth against right-handed pitcher Zack Godley. Quinn self-reported potential COVID-19 symptoms, but never tested positive for the virus, which allowed him to return as quickly as he did. Having delivered a 113 OPS+ through his first 12 games, Quinn appears to have the inside track on full-time duties in center field, thereby zapping Scott Kingery of much of his season-long intrigue. Leading the Majors with a Sprint Speed of 30.5 ft/s, Quinn has a ton of upside as it pertains to stealing bases and scoring additional runs.
