4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn has been shifted to the leadoff spot for Thursday’s contest against the Nationals and right-hander Anibal Sanchez, marking the first time this season that Quinn will hit atop the order. In the seven career contests in which Quinn has hit first, he has collected five extra-base hits; he will also now have the advantage of Rhys Hoskins, Bryce Harper, and J.T. Realmuto hitting directly behind him, giving Quinn increased DFS appeal. Andrew McCutchen will sit Thursday, allowing Quinn to slot up in the order, but don’t anticipate the move becoming a regular occurrence during September.--Jesse Borek
