Romeo Doubs Impressing Aaron Rodgers
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers typically doesn't gush over rookie wide receivers, but Romeo Doubs has made quite the impression on the veteran QB during training camp so far this summer. Rodgers said he likes Doubs' approach and that he's very humble. The 22-year-old is getting a lot of opportunities to show his stuff with veteran Sammy Watkins (hamstring) and fellow rookie Christian Watson (knee) sidelined with injuries. Rodgers said that Doubs has made some mental mistakes, which should be expected, but he's also had at least one "wow" play in every practice. It's high praise for the rookie, who could open his first NFL season with a substantial role in the offense behind Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb with Davante Adams now in Las Vegas.
