Ron Rivera Has High Praise For Jaret Patterson
3 years agoWashington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera liked what he saw from undrafted free agent running back Jaret Patterson when the team opened the preseason Thursday night in New England. The rookie was given a big opportunity to show what he is capable of and made the most of it. Patterson led the team in carries, rushing yards, receptions, and receiving yards which helps his push to crack the Washington roster. In a press conference on Friday, Rivera compared Patterson to running back Darren Sproles. Both are undersized and can be used in a versatile role, so there are definitely some similarities in their game. Rivera has been impressed with what he has seen from Patterson, so the rookie could potentially be playing himself into a roster spot. He doesn't have any redraft appeal as of now, but he could be an interesting dynasty asset if he cracks the Washington roster.
