Ronald Acuna Jr. Dealing With Soreness
2 years agoUpdating a previous report, Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. is out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks because he came in a little sore. The Braves are maintaining a day-to-day approach. Acuna missed three games last week with a right quadriceps injury, but it's uncertain if his soreness is related to that injury or his surgically repaired right knee that delayed his start to the 2022 season. Hopefully, this doesn't turned into an extended absence from one of the best players in baseball. When on the field this year, the 24-year-old superstar has been great, hitting .284/.394/.432 with an .826 OPS, two home runs, 10 RBI and nine stolen bases in 81 at-bats. Guillermo Heredia is starting in right field and hitting eighth on Wednesday against Diamondbacks left-hander Madison Bumgarner.
