Ronald Acuna Jr. Leaves Game With Abdominal Injury
4 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. left his team's game against the Chicago Cubs on Sunday night with pain in his lower abdominal muscles. The star outfielder was replaced in the game by Johan Camargo during the fourth inning. Originally, it appeared that he tweaked something diving back to first base on a pickoff attempt but he remained in the game. He then came around to score in the same inning, but he apparently aggravated the issue while diving into home plate. Acuna had gone 0-for-2 with a run in the game before his early departure. Stay tuned for more news as the Braves are likely to update his status after the conclusion of the game. Acuna is off to a red-hot start in 2021, hitting .419 with seven homers, 21 runs, 16 RBI, and three steals.
