4 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (abdomen) will make his return to the lineup after a two-game absence. The superstar outfielder made progress each day since sustaining the injury on Sunday- though the Braves' scheduled off days on Monday and Thursday likely helped to expedite the process. Acuna, batting .419 with seven homers, 37 combined runs, and RBI and three stolen bases, will resume his usual role as the table-setter for the Braves' offense on Friday night against Diamondbacks right-hander Luke Weaver. Weaver ranks in the 20th-percentile or worse in expected slugging percentage, hard-hit rate, and average exit velocity, making it an excellent matchup for Acuna.--Tim Capurso
